THE ALABAMA WAR DOGS MEMORIAL FOUNDATION IN
COOPERATION WITH VETERANS AND SPONSORS IS PROUD TO
PRESENT
"ALABAMA WAR DOGS: A BREED APART"
A PRESENTATION DEDICATED TO WAR DOGS AND THEIR
ALABAMA HANDLERS. "ALABAMA WAR DOGS" IS AIMED AT
EDUCATING ALABAMIANS ABOUT OUR MILITARY WORKING DOGS,
ESPECIALLY THOSE SENT INTO HARM'S WAY WITH AMERICAN
ARMED FORCES.
The 30-60 minute presentation is
designed for audiences ranging from 5-12 grade students, civic
associations, and church groups with an interest in
learning about military working dogs. To meet an audience’s specific
needs the presentation can be customized in content and length.
The presenters are a breed apart: Veterans and former
military dog handlers who served beside man’s best
friend. Audiences will find the presentation educational, entertaining, and at times
very emotional as the presenter-team takes you on a
typical military working dog's, from training to action;
sharing their personal dog-handler experiences and
stories-often under fire. The audience will learn what it takes to become a combat dog-team and the lasting bond and
love between dog and handler.
